We’re Accredited!

We are proud to announce that we have been accredited within the SMAS Worksafe scheme.

This means all of our Health & Safety documentation has been reviewed by an external source, and while not a legal requirement, many of our commercial customers want to see this before we’re even invited to tender for work.

What does SSIP accreditation mean?

Nowadays, there are many Health and Safety schemes which buyers may request suppliers to be accredited with when tendering. Obtaining SSIP accreditation demonstrates to a buyer that the supplier is competent in health and safety practices and procedures, and therefore a business that is safe to work with. Accreditation from an SSIP scheme is also mutually recognised by all other SSIP members. As such, accreditation from one SSIP member is sufficient to meet the criteria of the other members; thus, suppliers only require accreditation from one SSIP scheme, preventing the requirement to perform multiple health and safety assessments.

In addition, every policy and document was written in-house, with no outside safety consultants providing off the peg one size fit’s all policies for us.

Whats next?

We’re not going to sit back and rest on our laurels. For us, this is just the first box ticked on the list. Next, we’ll be going for Worksafe PQQ as well as accreditation with any other SSIP scheme that our clients may request, through the deemed-to-satisfy system. All of this is with the view of providing our clients with the best quality tree care and tree surveys possible while providing them with peace of mind that we’re safe and working to recognised standards across a number of industry sectors.
